Astrosimo privacy
Astrosimo is built around private iPhone astrophotography workflows: choosing a target, aligning the phone, capturing with automatic settings, on-device coaching, planning support, and local integrity records.
Effective date and operator
Effective June 4, 2026. Astrosimo is operated by Joe Simo. Privacy requests can be sent to hello@astrosimo.com.
No tracking
Astrosimo does not use third-party advertising trackers and does not sell personal data.
Account and subscriptions
Sign in with Apple and the monthly Pro subscription are handled by Apple. Astrosimo uses your app user identifier, display name, email address when shared by Apple, handle, and subscription state only for app functionality.
Capture and planning data
Capture, guidance, planning support, image, local integrity, approximate location, device model, OS version, and App Attest provenance records are used for the app workflow and private sync. Precise coordinates are used for live target windows and WeatherKit requests.
On-device intelligence
When available, Astrosimo uses on-device intelligence to turn existing planner and capture metrics into concise coaching. Astrosimo does not send those prompts to an Astrosimo AI backend.
Retention and deletion
Private app records remain available while you use Astrosimo and iCloud. You can remove app capture records and queued sync data from Profile, remove iCloud app data from iCloud storage, or contact support for privacy questions.

If you email support, Astrosimo uses the information you provide only to respond to that request.
