No tracking
Astrosimo does not use advertising trackers, send usage analytics, or sell personal data. Release builds do not record usage events.
Account and subscriptions
Sign in with Apple and annual or monthly Pro subscriptions are handled by Apple. Astrosimo requests neither your name nor your email address. It uses an Apple app-specific identifier and subscription state for account and purchase functionality. Names cached by earlier versions are replaced on your device when your account is restored or you sign in again. Older private iCloud records remain subject to the deletion controls below.
Free capture allowance
Three successful captures are included. A separate record in your private iCloud database stores usage and temporary capture reservations. An account-scoped Keychain cache reinforces the count on your device. No Astrosimo sign-in is required. Deleting photographs, deleting your Astrosimo account, or reinstalling does not reset this allowance. Failed or cancelled captures do not count. Free captures require iCloud verification; Pro access is determined by Apple subscriptions.
Capture and planning data
Capture, guidance, planning, image, local integrity, approximate location, device model, OS version, and App Attest provenance records are used for the app workflow and private iCloud sync. Precise coordinates are used on-device for live target windows and alignment. WeatherKit receives coordinates rounded to two decimal places, approximately a kilometre. Session records use approximate location. Finished photos are saved to your Photos library when you allow Photos access; location is written into the photo only when Location access is on.
Processing stays on your iPhone
Registration, stacking, and image processing run on the device. Astrosimo has no image-processing backend. Finished photographs save to Photos. A smaller backup of each session is stored in your own iCloud; it is not a full-resolution original.
Support requests
If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to include are used to answer your request. Please omit passwords, payment details, and precise location information. Support correspondence is separate from the app’s private iCloud records.
Retention and deletion
Private app records remain available while you use Astrosimo and iCloud. From Library, open Account: guests can erase all captures, and signed-in users can permanently delete their Astrosimo account, capture records, and queued sync data; Astrosimo also revokes its Sign in with Apple authorization. Photos saved to your Photos library remain under your control there. You can also remove iCloud app data from iCloud storage.
